We have started on the extended release medication for the Monkey. It's actually going really well. He still won't swallow the pill itself (it's too big and I think that it frightens him), but I mix it into some honey and he swallows that down.
One of the biggest things that I've noticed is how much more calm he seems to be. He is focused for longer and his behaviors aren't as random as they were when he was taking his medicine twice a day. There just seems to be a more normal flow to his emotions and behaviors rather than it being obviously apparent that his meds had worn off. It's just making things a lot more manageable for everyone and he also likes the fact that he only has to take his medication once a day. That makes him a great deal happier.
