A problem that I often come across with being a creative person is that I have this rather defective glitch in my head that always seems to say, "What's one more project?" Now, I already cross-stitch, quilt, knit, draw, color, and paint (when I have the inclination and inspiration) as well as blog and write (I'm still working on a novel that I had started about 5 years ago). Most of this things get worked on depending on where I am at emotionally and what I am feeling like doing (as my husband says, weather and mood permitting). I also have other hobbies such as reading, playing video games, and the majority of my time is taken up with being a SAHM who teaches. As you can tell, The Monk is no the only one who gets distracted. I often have to keep my hands busy (I call it Idle Hand Syndrome because I cannot sit still and have my hands being doing nothing - which is why I am typically cross-stitching or knitting while watching TV, or I am coloring or drawing while waiting for dinner to cook), so when I saw this book at my local Michael's, the disturbing little glitch lit up like fireworks on the 4th of July and I couldn't help but squeal with glee and think to myself "What's one more project?" I totally, TOTALLY, want to do these cute little grotesque creatures for my most favorite upcoming holiday of Halloween and give them to family and friends. Everyone who knows me will undoubtedly shake their heads and sigh (mostly The Hubs), but I just can't help myself. Look at them! They are awesome! |
