Confessions of a Homeschooler is the only one that I have found that doesn't try to shove her religious beliefs down my throat and also provides some really helpful hints and insights. Plus, some of her self-created curriculum is also pretty inspiring. In all my searches and research, this is the only site that I've noticed that I keep coming back too.
Finding other blogs to follow about homeschooling hasn't been an easy task. Sure, there are TONS of other homeschooling moms out there with time on their hands who also believe that they have wisdom and insight to share, as well as vent about their own struggles, celebrations, and two cents about what is going on in their lives (isn't that what blogging is about, believing that you have something important enough to say and share with the rest of the world?), but actually finding one that I find useful and isn't over-run with zealist ideals of Christianity isn't all that easy. But I have found one. Yup, so far, only ONE.

How it all started...I was a public school teacher for 6 years in a very urban middle school for both 7th and 8th grade. As the red-tape got thicker and teaching became more of a business rather than a place to prepare young minds to enter into the world, I decided that if I was going to work that hard to give an education to someone, it should be my own son. So, my adventures in homeschooling has begun. Follow us on Instagram!
