I used to think that summertime was when you got to relax, play outside, read, soak up some sun. So far, that is NOT how my summer has gone. The Monk and I flew to NM to help my parents move to be closer to us. Upon coming home, little much has happened in the way of my being productive, or even being able to relax. I've been home not even a week and I have a list a mile long of things that I need to take care of, all before the real work begins with our first year of homeschooling. I still need to finish up my planning and pacing guide. I need to put together his resource binder, and, at some point, I would really like to get together a household management binder that I so desperately need for my daily do's, groceries, menu planning, and bill paying. This, plus the weeding, cleaning, and care-taking that is just a part of everyday life.
Hopefully, in a few more days (once my parents have their furniture), I can put more energy into my house than theirs and get on the track that I need to be on in order for me to be able to sit, read, and soak up some sun.
