It was a beautiful day today! A perfect spring morning with all of us outside (couldn't get Kiya to come out, but the rest of us were enjoying the weather). With all the snow and rain that we've been getting, it was nice to get out into the fresh air. I started off with weeding the yard, but after Hubs had mowed, the sweet smell of cut grass was calling to me and I could no longer resist the temptation of the sun, sky, and serenity. So, I got a blanket, a refreshing drink, and my current brain candy reading and plopped myself out on the lawn. Soon, the Monk was next to me, curled up along my side, playing a game on Dada's phone and Anala was on the other side, basking in the rays of the sun. It was awesome. A slight breeze kept it from getting too hot and I was in heaven. There is no better way to read than on grass in the sunshine (except maybe in a hammock on a beach somewhere in the Bahamas).
Buddha says to not dwell on the past or dream of the future, but to concentrate the mind on the present moment. And it was an amazing moment. *smile*
